Alex Finlay has grown in popularity recently and I knew I wanted to check out this story. The story of five teens going missing when all their parents had just come into town for parents weekend sounded right up my alley.
The story follows five teens who go missing on parent’s weekend, and everyone starts to panic because they don’t show up to a dinner. At first I thought this was going to be something completely different than what it was. I was almost expecting predictable, but Finlay surprised me. I don’t love books that jump back and forth, but I really think it gave a slowly completing-the-puzzle vibe. Just when I thought I knew where it was going, something else happened and I did not think so.
Finlay wrote a large spread of characters in this book, and sometimes it was hard to keep up with all of them, but they all had interesting personalities and added layers to the story. Since reading this, I definitely want to pick up more of his novels! Definitely one I want to read again!
